I think I might know why she did it. Maybe she was just tired from a morning of teaching and decided that reaching for her coffee and taking a sip mid-afternoon in between guided reading lessons would be a good idea....
...be careful of those Starbucks cups, friends. Flies can crawl through that little hole on the lid and, before you know it, you may be screaming in disgust because something came out of your mouth that wasn't suppose to be there in the first place...
And guess what? Instead of being sympathetic little sweethearts, my kids ran around telling the school that I love insects so much, I eat them!
Lesson learned. More sleep. Less coffee. No flies.
