"Hey Ms. Wong," Joey called out to me as I walked my students into the after school waiting area. "Are those your new Tigers?"
"Yeah..." Even though it has felt so weird looking up in middle of class and calling out "Tigers" to get my 1st graders' attention. In the past 2 years, I've called out "Tigers" and received the looks of 10 year old faces who stood and were taller than me...
"Those aren't Tigers. They're cubs," he responded with a smile.
Oh, how I miss him!
