As she walked in from recess, I pulled her aside and whispered, "You got a 100% on your math test!" I wasn't going to hand the test back today, but I wanted her to know.
Her eyes lit up, and she jumped up and down in silent, but uncontainable joy. She worked so hard for it, she was so persistent at it, and I was so proud of her. Everything in me wanted to jump up and down with her.
It's a moment like that that wipes away the tears of a trying week and encourages me to be persistent too.
