From Pajama Night to our Jump Rope contest, it has been a spirit-filled week.
We had a jump rope contest today. The top students in each class competed against each other for what one of my jaded students insightfully noted was "just metal tinted with gold paint."
A couple heartwarming highlights:
-The grades all cheering for each other by our college mascots.
-One of my students who went down early, turned to her friend and coached her breathing as she continued to jump.
-The students hugging and cheering for each other as each winner was declared. (I love good sportsmanship!)
-My students giving me hugs after I went down and consoled me with "It's ok, Ms. Wong. You tried your best."
There are times when I think about my kids and can't help but love them.
